CABINET has approved the revised 2026 national budget in order to address “higher-than-anticipated” expenditure requirements in the 2026 fiscal year. Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the revised budget will address heightened fiscal pressures and a widening financing gap created by the suspension of Value Added Tax and Customs and Excise duties on fuel, resulting in reduced revenue.
