POLICE in Lusaka have arrested five male suspects for the incident of political violence that occurred in Chawama on Friday. On Friday, UPND and Tonse Pamodzi Alliance cadres clashed in Chawama after some suspected Tonse Pamodzi Alliance cadres went to disrupt a meeting hosted by UPND Chawama aspiring candidate Abel Ng’andu. The Tonse Pamodzi Alliance cadres were coming from the Edgar Lungu memorial service at Regina Pacis Catholic Church in Chawama. In a statement Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi said following the incident, cases of aggravated robbery, malicious damage to property, assault, and unlawful wounding had been recorded.
