TEAM Zambia made a blistering start at the Southern African Confederation of Athletics (SACA) U18-U20 Championships in Mauritius, collecting four medals on an impressive opening day of competition. The Zambian contingent delivered a string of personal bests and podium finishes, setting a strong foundation for the remainder of the two-day championship. The standout performance of the day came in the U20 men’s 1500m final, where Vein Yen Siambelele stormed to gold medal glory in a time of 4:03.98.
