GOVERNMENT has disclosed that it is targeting to issue about 65,000 title deeds this year under the Land Titling Programme that commenced in 2017. Government adds it has registered about 135,000 titles under the same programme while 118,000 are ready to be processed but failure by owners to settle the K1,000 required fee is stalling the process. Meanwhile, government has attributed the delay in the issuance of land title deeds to the low number of land surveyors in Zambia.
