LUANSHYA District Commissioner Paul Malele has flagged off the 2026 Traditional Wetland Food Security Pack (FSP) Programme, with 1,000 new beneficiaries enrolled under the initiative aimed at improving household food security and incomes. Speaking during the launch at Malaika Centre last Friday, Malele said the Food Security Pack Programme is a government initiative under the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services designed to reduce poverty and improve food security among vulnerable but viable households. He said the programme targets labour-constrained households that still have the capacity to engage in farming by providing them with agricultural inputs to grow food for both consumption and sale.
