STATE House says it has no involvement in the shutdown of the NRPUP fundraising platform.

State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says government has no interest in manipulating a failed financial system.

On Monday, Tonse Pamodzi Secretary General Celestine Mukandila accused the state of orchestrating the shutdown of a fundraising platform created to mobilise financial support for Brian Mundubile’s campaign.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, Hamasaka said NRPUP’s manifesto was full of lies.

“For them, everything that fails about themselves, they say it’s a system. Who can shut them down? Shut them for what? They are just full of lies. Even their campaign messages are all full of lies and unattainable. That’s just their nature. Those are financial systems. You think government will be interested in tampering with financial systems of the country? Which government can be interested in manipulating the financial system of the country? Why? Let alone their failed system. I’m sure these things are being done through mobile money services, and only theirs failed to transact. How is that even possible? The rest of the country was able to transact, but only theirs failed. How does that make sense?” asked Hamasaka.

“So those are lies. They should know how to beg for money, not blaming the government for anything and for all their failures. Let them fundraise properly without involving and accusing other people of their failures. If we look at their campaign promises, there is nothing new. Their manifesto itself is a failure because everything they talk about is being implemented. You name it, talk about the mining sector or the agriculture sector, tourism, you name it. The only thing that I have heard which is new is giving marketers excavators. That’s the only thing that is new. The rest is already being implemented, and we have done an excellent job in governing this country. So they shouldn’t blame us for their failed begging platform”.
