GOVERNMENT has partially lifted the suspension on the importation of livestocks and their products from South Africa after improvements in that country’s Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) situation. In a statement issued by Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Principal Public Relations Officer, Benny Munyama, the Ministry said the importation of selected products will now be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to strict import conditions and veterinary approval.
