THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced Raphael Nakacinda to a fine of K2,400 for the offence of seditious practices. However, Nakacinda will remain in jail as he continues serving the 18-month prison sentence imposed by the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court after he was convicted of defaming President Hakainde Hichilema. In the current matter, Nakacinda was charged with seditious practices, contrary to Section 57 as read with Section 60(1)(e) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
