THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has ordered that the US$160,000 properties stolen from Chishimba Kambwili be restored to him. Chief Resident Magistrate Nthandose Chabala made the order after State Prosecutor Samuel Zulu applied that the recovered properties be returned to the complainant. The order follows the conviction and sentencing of eight people for the theft of the US$160,000 after the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt. In her earlier judgment, Magistrate Chabala sentenced four of the accused persons in count one to three years imprisonment with hard labour and four others in count two to two-years-six months imprisonment.
