CHAPTER One Foundation (COF) says President Hakainde Hichilema should make a commitment not to remove the presidential term limit. COF Executive Director Josiah Kalala says it would be a contradiction if the UPND, which opposed Edgar Lungu’s bid for another term, was to pursue the removal of the presidential term limit. On Sunday, UPND MP Florence Chama said women in Zambia wanted development instead of democracy, arguing that this could only be achieved by supporting President Hichilema to remain in office beyond 2031. And UPND Deputy Secretary General Gertrude Imenda said removing presidential term limits was Chama’s personal wish.
