ZAMBIA National Women’s Lobby says some women elected under the proportional representation system lack political experience, but that they can learn from longstanding MPs. On Monday, Speaker of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti swore-in 40 MPs under the Proportional Representation (PR) electoral system. UPND has been allocated 32 seats out of the 40 seats, while NRPUP has been allocated eight seats. Of the 40 seats, 20 have been allocated to women, 15 have been allocated to youths and five have been allocated to persons with disabilities.
