MINISTRY of Energy Permanent Secretary Arnold Simwaba says government does not anticipate load shedding this year, adding that should the situation change, an announcement will be made. The country has been experiencing sporadic power cuts, raising concerns among members of the public about whether the interruptions mark the return of load shedding. Recently, ZESCO clarified that the power interruptions being experienced in some parts of the country were a result of scheduled maintenance works and should not be mistaken for load shedding.
