NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, yesterday appeared before the Solwezi Magistrates’ Court on charges of seditious practices. In this matter, Mundubile is alleged to have made a Facebook post claiming that the NRPUP was leading the election according to the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) and called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to resume vote counting after the process was suspended. Meanwhile, Zulu is accused of posting that Mundubile would address the nation and urging the public to remain on standby.
