THE country has in the last 24 hours recorded 36 new suspected cholera cases. According to the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI) 11 cases have been confirmed as Cholera cases. On Sunday Health Minister Professor Roma Chilengi disclosed that the cholera situation in Chibombo had become unstable, with over 159 cases recorded at the district’s cholera treatment center. ZNPHI stated that the country had cumulatively recorded 510 suspected cholera cases with 105 confirmed cases. ZNPHI also disclosed that one new death had been recorded in the last 24 hours with 13 deaths recorded cumulatively.
