THE Chipata High Court has heard that the vote recount in the Kasenengwa parliamentary election shows UPND candidate Levison Ziwa with more votes than NRPUP candidate Philimon Twasa. The recount was ordered by the Chipata High Court, following an election petition filed by Ziwa, challenging the election of Twasa as Kasenengwa Member of Parliament, over concerns of discrepancies in the counting and totaling of votes. According to initial results declared by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), Twasa polled 14,582 votes, while Ziwa received 13,339 votes.
