POLICE Chief of Operations for Lusaka Kennedy Sianchili says the Mandevu by-election will offer the Police an opportunity to test how best they can manage by-elections without violence. Sianchili says for the first time during a nomination process 50 uniformed police officers have been deployed to ensure law and order prevails. Meanwhile, ECZ Acting District Electoral Officer Victor Kagoli says stakeholders are focused on the Mandevu by-election, adding that it is therefore imperative that the nomination and the election are conducted in a peaceful and fair manner.
