MTN Zambia has announced the launch of an additional new range of numbers and expanded its existing subscriber base aimed at allowing different customers to join the network.

The new number range will go under a prefix “076” and customers can reserve their desired contact number on the link: http://my076.mtnzambia.co.zm

In a statement, MTN Zambia chief executive officer Charles Molapisi disclosed that the telecommunications giant had decided to roll out the ‘076’ number range to absorb a growing subscriber base.

“MTN has introduced the new number range of 076 because our customer base is growing and hence we need to allow more customers to grow with us and join the Y’ello family,” Molapisi stated in a press release issued, Tuesday.

“Existing customers will have the same offers as the 076-number range. Customers will be given an opportunity to reserve a special number of their choice or use a special date as their mobile number and once the number is reserved, the customer has 7 days to redeem their number at any MTN outlet.”

According to the statement, the benefits of the new number range have three dimensions where customers have an opportunity to create a number of their choice; create a number that reflects their birthday, anniversary or any special date in their lives and also create a number like their existing number from other networks.

New customers will get free 300 MB data and 10 minutes on-net minutes and all MTN customers will get free Instagram, free MTN TV+ and free Facebook, plus send money for free when they recharge their phone with K2.

Additionally, MTN have introduced the new services specifically tailored to meet subscribers’ changing communication demands, according to Molapisi.

“MTN Zambia believes in offering services and platforms that add value to the lives of our customers through constant focus on consumers. More than before, Zambian consumers, today, have converged communication behaviour via mobile telecommunication and are constantly on the go and want the freedom to access it all. Our new number range unlocks a whole new way for consumers to live their social life on the go,” stated Molapisi.
