Two men have been dragged to court for allegedly stealing cattle worth K8,000 from Maria Zaloumis, popularly known as Zed Farmer.
In this matter, Elvis Chilekwa, 21, and an 18-year-old, both of of Mboosa area are charged with stock theft contrary to Section 272 (1) of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence offence allege that on June 29, 2019 in Lusaka, the duo jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown stole Zaloumis’ cattle.
Chief resident Magistrate Lameck Mwale allocated the matter to Magistrate Betty Malupenga for plea in the absence of the suspects who are still in police custody.
The two are expected to appear in court soon.
