THE Food Reserve Agency (FRA) says it intends to purchase at least 170,000 metric tonnes of white maize at K160 per 50 Kg bag during this year’s crop marketing season. During a media briefing, Thursday, FRA Board Chairperson Kelvin Hambwezya said the agency would also purchase 1,500 metric tonnes of soya beans at K550 per 50 Kg bag and 100 metric tonnes of paddy rice at K200 per 40 Kg.
