THE Ministry of Finance has clarified that Zambia is in no position to reject any proposals between China and the World Bank with regards to debt restructuring. Reacting to a story in an international media which initially quoted Finance and National Planning Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane as having stated that “Zambia rejects China’s call for World Bank to join its debt restructuring’’ before a correction was made, the Ministry stated that the headline did not accurately reflect the Minister’s comments or Zambia’s position.
