A ZAMBIA Police Anti-Smuggling Team in Ndola has impounded a light truck Benz registration number AAM 7636 laden with 201 by 25kg bags of mealie meal that were being smuggled into Congo DR. And the Zambia Consumers Association (ZACA) has called for urgent assessment aimed at ascertaining why the provision of cheaper maize to millers from the Food Reverse Agency (FRA) is yielding very little or no impact towards accomplishing the intended objective of lowering the price of mealie meal on the local market.
