MINISTRY of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Permanent Secretary Subeta Mutelo has revealed that the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) disbursed K157 million to over 78,000 marketeers between 2022 and 2023. Speaking when she featured on Hot FM’s Red Hot Breakfast show, recently, Mutelo said CEEC has seen an increase in funding under the new dawn administration, an indication that government understands the needs of SMEs. “[In the past], CEEC under the Ministry of Commerce then would receive funding as less as 50 million.
