ZESCO has signed a power deal with EDM, Mozambique’s state-owned electricity company, which will enable the power utility firm to import 90 megawatts of power. And Zesco board chairperson Vickson Ncube says it is unfortunate that people continue to lament the effects of drought despite Africa having distinguished engineers, economists, and others. Speaking during the signing ceremony yesterday, Zesco Managing Director Victor Mapani said the negotiation for the deal had been completed, hence the signing of the agreement.
