ENERGY Minister Makozo Chikote says government, through the Energy Regulation Board (ERB), has directed TAZAMA to extend its loading hours at Ndola terminals to address the ongoing fuel shortage. He adds that a waiver has also been issued to all fuel transporters to extend night movements of fuel tankers from 05:00 to 20:00 to 05:00 to 22:00, to quicken the delivery of fuel to filling stations. Chikote also says as of Monday, the country had 55.7 million litres of diesel and 21.2 million litres of petrol in stock, equivalent to 12 days of diesel and 11 days of petrol coverage.
