THE Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) says the staff-level agreement reached between the IMF and government on the sixth and final review confirms meaningful progress in restoring macroeconomic stability. Last week the IMF announced that it had reached a staff-level agreement on the sixth and final review under the 38-month Extended Credit Facility (ECF) with Zambia. The agreement meant that Zambia would receive a disbursement of about $190 million, bringing total disbursements to about $1.7 billion since August 2022.
