THE Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has reduced the Monetary Policy Rate by 75 basis points to 13.5 percent from 14.25 percent in November 2025. The Central Bank adds that gross international reserves increased to $5.5 billion by December 2025, from $5.2 billion at end-September, 2025. Meanwhile, BoZ has also disclosed that it has withdrawn 94 percent of the old banknotes from circulation, translating to about K15.6 billion.
