SINO Metals Leach Zambia has announced that it has officially commenced clean-up and remediation work in areas affected by the company’s mining pollution. Recently, the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) issued an amended Environmental Restoration Order, directing Sino Metals to commence clean-up, remediation and restoration works, to be completed by June 30, 2026. This directive followed a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report, which was approved in December 2025.
