CENTRAL Province Permanent Secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe says all things being equal, Mulungushi Textiles will reopen on April 14 but will begin with an eight-hour shift. In an interview, Tuesday, Dr Mwanakampwe said the facility would not immediately operate under the 24-hour economy model, as workers need time to familiarise themselves with the new equipment. He added that under an initial eight-hour shift, the plant was expected to produce between 6,000 and 7,000 metres. “Right now, IDC and the Cabinet are all working from here.
