SECRETARY to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa says government will revert to the TAZAMA Open Access Framework after three months. He, however, says that should the situation in the Middle East improve, the country will revert earlier than projected. Last Thursday, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) urged government to restore the TAZAMA Open Access Framework and to publish the terms of emergency procurement arrangements. This followed Cabinet’s decision last month to temporarily suspend the TAZAMA Open Access Framework for a period of six months, from April to September 2026.
