THE National Association for Smallholder Farmers has called on the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) to expedite the process of announcing the buying price for maize produce. Last month, FRA promised that farmers should expect a “good” maize floor price for the 2025/2026 marketing season. Commenting on this in an interview, Friday, Association Executive Director Dr Frank Kayula said government should be decisive, as this is an election year. “Caution goes both to government and the farmers.
