THE Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) says it is concerned that manufacturers and other market players are reducing prices at a slow rate despite the kwacha remaining stable for almost a year. In an interview, Wednesday, EAZ National Secretary Dr Nicholus Mainza said the appreciation and stability of the kwacha had been more favourable to manufacturers than consumers, and called for the benefits to be passed on. “The traders, especially the manufacturers, the distributors, these are the guys who are enjoying the benefits of the kwacha appreciation.
