THE National Association for Smallholder Farmers (NASFA) has welcomed the K347 maize purchase price set by the Food Reserve Agency (FRA), stating that it is a good price and will allow farmers to earn more. NASFA has appealed to government to brand and market Zambia’s maize as non-GMO to fetch a premium price on the global market. On Friday, FRA set the maize floor price at K347, up from K340 in the 2025 crop marketing season.
