THE Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) says the country’s total trade in July 2026 increased to K55.2 billion from K55.1 billion in June 2026. ZamStats adds that a trade surplus of K4.1 billion was recorded in July 2026, compared to a surplus of K4.2 billion recorded in June 2026. Meanwhile, the Agency says Non-Traditional Export earnings increased by 6.5 percent from K9.3 billion in June 2026 to K9.9 billion in July 2026. Speaking during a media briefing on Thursday, Acting Statistician General Dr Chola Nakazwe Daka said imports increased from K25.5 billion in June 2026 to K25.6 billion in July 2026, as a result of increases in import bills of intermediate goods.
