THE Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) says it has made strides in upgrading its infrastructure as it prepares for the possibility of operating under Zambia’s 24-hour economy. LuSE, however, says the decision on whether to keep the market open for 24 hours will depend on trading volumes and investor demand. Earlier this year, Cabinet approved the implementation of a 24-hour economy in Zambia, which allowed businesses, markets and bus stations, among others, to operate beyond traditional working hours.
