THE Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM) has welcomed ZRA’s three-month tax amnesty, describing it as a positive move at a time when businesses are facing rising costs and cash-flow pressures. Last week, the Zambia Revenue Authority launched a three-month tax amnesty for businesses and other eligible taxpayers. The programme is offering a 100 percent waiver on accrued penalties and interest upon settlement of the outstanding principal tax. It runs from September 17 to December 31, 2026. Responding to a query, ZAM Chief Executive Officer Muntanga Lindunda said the Voluntary Disclosure Programme gives businesses a chance to regularise their tax affairs and resolve historical issues more collaboratively.
