FORMER deputy Inspector General of Police Charity Katanga yesterday appeared at the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court but her matter couldn’t take off because her docket wasn’t ready. Meanwhile, Katanga’s lawyers have expressed concern that after arresting their client, the State told them to appear at court yesterday, but were not present themselves. Last month, the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) arrested Katanga for being in possession of property reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime valued at over $2 million and K1.5 million.
