FORMER Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Stardy Mwale and Savenda Group of Companies Director and Shareholder Clever Mpoha yesterday appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court on charges of corruption. The two, who are charged with two counts of corrupt practices could not, however, take plea as consent from the Director of Public Prosecution had not yet been obtained. In count one, Mwale, 52, is charged with corrupt practices by a public officer contrary to section 19 (1) as read together with section 41 of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012.
