A DEC investigations officer has narrated to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that between March and May 2020, former defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba’s personal account received about K20 million from Curzon Global Limited Zambia. The witness has testified that the Ministry of Defence awarded three contracts of about US$6 million to Curzon Global Hong Kong to supply assorted items to the Zambia Army. The DEC officer testified that investigations were extended to the Ministry of Finance where documents relating to the three contracts were provided, adding that after further analysis, he discovered that there were payments in amounts totaling about K104 million to an account domiciled at Atlasmara, belonging to Curzon Global Limited Zambia.
