THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a former Muvi television security guard to six years imprisonment with hard labour for theft. Kambani Kapila, 42, earlier admitted having broken into Muvi television studios and stealing various items. Kapila was jointly charged with Kabamba Mwape, 25, Kelvin Kambila, 24 and Shownslous Mwanza with one count of breaking into a building with intent to commit a felony. Mwape, Kambila and Mwanza, however, pleaded not guilty and are expected to face trial which commences on February 8, 2023.
