A WITNESS has testified before the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that Bowman Lusambo’s wife, Nancy, allegedly paid over US$180,000 for the purchase of three properties in Chongwe district. Francis Phiri, a Human Resource manager at Henan Guoji Development Company Limited told the court that the payments were made in installments between May 2018 and July 2020. This is in a matter in which Lusambo and his wife, Nancy, are charged with corrupt acquisition of public property, possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime, tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud.
