LUSAKA Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili has granted Lumezi Independent Member of Parliament Munir Zulu, who is charged with three counts of libel, bail in the sum of K200,000 but in his own recognisance. Magistrate Chibwili has further summoned Mkaika PF member of parliament Peter Phiri to appear before him on July 14, 2023, to explain why he has never attended court sessions since he signed as Zulu’s surety. Zulu is, however, still under a bench warrant which was issued against him in another case in his capacity as Kaizer Zulu’s surety, which is returnable on July 18, 2023.
