LUSAKA Magistrate Chrispin Hampugani has sentenced a businessman to three years imprisonment with hard labour for causing grievous bodily harm to a woman. The woman had her arm amputated after the convict, Shadreck Hang’andu, injected her with a family planning drug. The court has, however, ruled that the prosecution lamentably failed to prove the offence of maliciously administering poison with intent to harm, which led to the victim having her arm amputated. In this matter, Shadreck Hang’andu was charged with one count of maliciously administering poison with intent to harm.
