LUSAKA Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili has sentenced a Tanzanian national to seven years imprisonment with hard labour for trafficking in 2.464 kilograms of cocaine. This was after Jacob Segoa Mzinga pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in narcotic substances and unlawful importation of cocaine into Zambia. Allegations in the first count were that Mzinga on July 17, 2023, in Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown, trafficked in narcotic substance namely 2.464 kilograms of cocaine without lawful Authority.
