THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has thrown out a matter in which PeP leader Sean Tembo dragged UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda to court for the alleged offence of hate speech. This follows Director of Public Prosecutions Gilbert Phiri’s refusal to grant Tembo consent to privately prosecute the matter. In this matter, Imenda was facing one count of hate speech over his statement in which he referred to Archbishop Alick Banda as “the lucifer of Zambia”.
