A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has been dragged to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defaming a Lusaka lawyer by stating that the advocate does not have a law degree. Chanda Lyn Banda Rossi, an assistant administrator, is charged with libel Contrary to Section 191 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. It is alleged that Rossi, on November 27, 2023, in Lusaka, by print and writing, unlawfully published defamatory words to which she said, “Karen Haloba must not be admitted to the bar as she does not have a law degree,” with intent to defame Karen Haloba.
