A MINING firm, Mash Rock Mining Limited, has dragged the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to the Lusaka High Court, seeking compensatory damages totaling US$5,175,670 for the loss of business it suffered after the latter allegedly defamed it. The suit relates to ZRA’s article published on its official page titled, “ZRA unearths tax evasion scheme involving over K82 million”, concerning the company. Mash Rock Mining Limited also wants an order for the immediate retraction of all defamatory publications made by ZRA, along with a public apology for the damage caused to its business reputation.
