LUSAKA Magistrate Stanford Ngobola has issued a bench warrant against former defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba in a matter in which he is charged with 24 counts of conflict of interest, money laundering, among other charges. Magistrate Ngobola issued the bench warrant against Mwamba yesterday after he failed to attend a court session on the basis of being unwell. When the matter came up for continued defence, Wednesday, Mwamba was not before court. His lawyers then informed the court that he was unwell, as his blood pressure had shot up.
