THE COMESA Court of Justice (CCJ) has ordered the Electoral College to determine, within 60 days, the effect of a vacancy created following the withdrawal of A.F. Chui Cheong’s appointment as judge in the Court’s First Instance Division (FID). Delivering judgment in Lusaka on Friday, Principal Judge Qinisile Mabuza further directed that FID Judge President Justice Lombe P. Chibesakunda remain in office to oversee the Court’s functions until the newly elected Judge President is duly appointed and sworn in.
