HIGH Court Judge Situmbeko Chocho has ordered the State to pay K5 million in compensation to a 13-year-old girl whose leg was amputated after she was hit by a ZNS service truck. This follows a consent judgement entered in the High Court. Earlier, Thomas Siwila, who is the victim’s father, sued the State in the High Court, seeking damages for personal injury in the sum of K5 million after his 13-year-old daughter was struck by a Zambia National Service (ZNS) registered Zoomlion Crane Truck driven by a Warrant Officer.
