THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has ordered that jailed former Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo’s properties in Chamba Valley be forfeited to the State. The court has also ordered him to pay K5.2 million to the State for being in possession of tainted, uncompleted flats belonging to another businessman. Meanwhile, the court has granted Lusambo a K500,000 bail pending appeal in his own recognisance. However, Lusambo remains in custody, serving a four-year sentence with hard labour on other corruption charges.
